Prom at The White House

Today in history, Gerald Ford took over the presidency. For the sake of this post (and generally because she now lives in my town), we are more interested in his daughter Susan, who had her school prom at The White House while they lived there. These pictures are from a Vanity Fair article which we will link for the whole story. We just love seeing the rooms as they were decorated at the time (1975).

We love the sage moire walls here and the chance to see some of the accessories.

Each room has more or less the same decor- portraits, vases, candlesticks, clocks, and Eagle mirrors.

Wouldn't it e amazing to have your prom at The White House? Coincidentally my prom was where my father worked too- City Place Tower in Dallas. Not nearly as cool!
